1
Morning comes, again, cool and overcast. We head out to explore the inner islands.back to map

2
On Long Pond, the wind is dead ahead. We play with beating up the narrow channel for a bit, but there is far too much traffic. We motor. For some reason, again, the motor dies. It starts up again OK. We dock at Centreville and enjoy a lovely afternoon stroll. For my troubles, I get a ticket for unauthorized docking. $10. Well worth it. I stroll down to Toronto Island Marina to pay it.back to map

Coming up Long Pond to the bridge at Centreville:

3
We hasten back to QCYC while there is light so that we can stroll through the tiny cottage community on the island. No private cars are allows on the island, so the "roads" are really footpaths. It is spectacularly quaint - a jewel on the shore of Toronto.back to map

4
We enjoyed QCYC so much we've decided to stay a second night. It's so busy, we end up in a different slip tonight. But that's good, this one isn't so awkward to step on and off.

That's Southwind, far right, next to the boathouse:

The afternoon brings a sprinkling of rain. I set up the rain canopy / sunshade. A 3'x6' tarp and a few tie-downs.

Everything on a boat should be simple and highly adaptable:
